Important Update from Jamie about Jamie Oliver LIVE Shows:
Hi Guys
I’m so sad to have to tell you that a very dear friend of mine, Rose Gray, passed away at the weekend. She was an absolute inspiration both as a person and as one of the first pioneers of gorgeous, fresh, hands-on cooking who I learned so much from. I had the privilege of working for many years with her at the River Café in London, which she & Ruth Rogers founded, and which was where I was plucked from obscurity to do my first TV show all those years ago.. Without Rose & Ruth, I wouldn't be where I am now.
It’s because of this that I need to let you know that unfortunately I’m going to have to delay my flight to Australia so that I can be at Rose’s funeral in London.
The Friday night show will still be happening exactly as planned but we're changing the Thursday show to Saturday night now. I really hope any of you with tickets for Thursday can make it to Saturday and my guys on the ground will make sure all the details are sorted if that’s what you’re able to do. I know lots of you will have made travel arrangements to come into Melbourne from out of town & hope you understand.
I’m still really looking forward to getting over there to see you all. We’ll really be pulling the stops out to make it up to you on the Saturday night with a top notch, fun and exciting show so please, tell all your friends to come along and I’ll see you there!
